Privacy Policy

PDF2Products turns supplier PDF catalogues into Shopify products. This policy explains what data the PDF2Products Shopify app and this website handle, why, who else sees it, and how to have it deleted.

Who we are

PDF2Products (“we”, “us”) operates the PDF2Products app for Shopify and this website. For any privacy question or request, contact dev.yadav.rohit@gmail.com.

What we collect

When a merchant installs and uses the app, we handle:

  • Store details from Shopify: your store’s domain and name, the contact details Shopify shares with the app, and the access token Shopify issues so the app can create products in your store.
  • Catalogues you upload: the PDF files, the page images and product photos we generate from them, and the product data we extract (titles, descriptions, SKUs, barcodes, prices, weights, tags and similar fields), including review flags and the push status of each product.
  • Plan and usage: your plan and the number of products extracted, so usage can be billed through Shopify.
  • Technical logs: standard server logs such as IP address, timestamps, requests and errors, kept short-term for security and troubleshooting.

The app asks Shopify only for permission to write products. It does not read your customers, orders or shoppers’ personal data, so we do not hold personal data about your customers.

How we use it

  • To read your catalogues, extract product data and create products in your store when you push them.
  • To run the service: authenticate you, apply your plan limits, bill through Shopify and give support.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix errors.

We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use your catalogues to train AI models.

Who else processes your data

We use these providers to deliver the service. Each receives only what it needs:

  • Shopify — the platform you install the app on, and where products are created and billing is handled.
  • Amazon Web Services — hosting, database and file storage, in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region.
  • OpenAI — receives product images from your catalogue to extract product fields.
  • OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to — receive page images to decide which pages contain products, locate each product and its photo, and check results.

Those AI providers process content only to return results to us, and their handling is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not share your data with anyone else except where the law requires it.

Where it is stored

Data is stored and processed on AWS infrastructure in India. Images sent to AI providers may be processed in other countries, including the United States. By using the app you accept this transfer, which we carry out only to provide the service.

How long we keep it

  • While the app is installed we keep your uploads and extracted products so you can review and push them later.
  • When you uninstall, we delete your access token straight away. Shopify then notifies us that your store’s data should be erased, and we delete your catalogues, images and extracted products within 30 days of that notice.
  • You can ask us to delete some or all of your data earlier at any time by emailing dev.yadav.rohit@gmail.com.
  • Technical logs are kept for a short period and then overwritten.

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. Files and databases are stored on encrypted storage, access is limited to what the service needs, and secrets are kept out of our code. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we act quickly on problems and will tell affected merchants about a breach as the law requires.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to a data protection authority. Email dev.yadav.rohit@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are a shopper at a merchant’s store and your question is about that store, contact the merchant, as we do not hold shoppers’ personal data.

Children

The service is for businesses and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, tell merchants through the app or by email.
